Electrical Engineer Job Description

We're looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services team in Atlanta, Charlotte, or Raleigh. As an Electrical Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing electrical systems for large institutional and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate electrical design team work on large projects through schematic design development and contract document phase
  • Establish meetings and participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance
  • Coordinate workload to complete documents on schedule
  • Conduct site work sessions with Project Manager and other disciplines
  • Review electrical documents for conflicts with other disciplines
  • Write and edit electrical specifications and select equipment, systems, and devices
  • Coordinate with affected disciplines on addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders
  • Provide construction contract administration as needed
  • Conduct QA/QC on electrical work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
  • Previous experience with architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired
  • Experience in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with Electrical emphasis
  • Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Strong computer skills using AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI, and EasyPower
