The StaRN Residency Program equips you with the necessary tools to thrive in today’s healthcare environment, including:
- Advanced clinical training in a specialized area.
- Preceptorship training with an experienced facility preceptor.
- Collaboration on an evidence-based practice project.
As an RN Resident, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to the specific needs of the department, adhering to the standards of practice for your specialty.
In partnership with medical providers and other care team members, you will provide individualized, compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” You will advocate for patients, families, and caregivers to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour role will include:
- Assessing patient conditions during admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting any changes.
- Performing procedures and monitoring as directed by medical providers.
- Documenting care administration in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
- Responding to patient requests with urgency and care.
- Educating patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up measures.
Qualifications include:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse status in the state.
- No prior experience required.
- Some travel may be necessary for training.
