Job Summary

The position is responsible for conducting comprehensive patient assessments, administering psychological testing, and providing evidence-based treatment to children, adolescents, and adults. This role involves providing individual, couples, family, and group behavioral therapy, as well as patient and community education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, utilizing independent decision-making and professional judgment.
  • Conduct thorough psychological assessments, including testing and evaluation, to inform treatment plans.
  • Provide timely and accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and testing reports.
  • Collaborate with treating psychiatrists and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care and make referrals as needed.
  • Participate in the development of psychological services for the Department of Psychiatry, including community outreach and education.

Supervisory/Management Responsibility

This is a non-management role that reports to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PhD or PsyD)
  • 1 year of post-doctoral experience in a medical setting

Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses

South Carolina License to Practice Clinical Psychology (Lawson Code LLCP)
