Position Overview
The primary objective of this role is to ensure that all facilities are maintained in a clean and orderly manner. The following responsibilities outline the essential functions required to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness across all work environments serviced by our team.Job Responsibilities
Part-Time Cleaning Technician:
Shifts Available:
- 9am - 2pm (Weekends)
- 3pm - 8pm (Weekends)
- 9am - 2pm (Monday to Friday)
- 3pm - 8pm (Monday to Friday)
Key Duties Include:
- Utilizing industrial cleaning equipment to sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors.
- Performing high-level cleaning tasks such as dusting walls, washing ceilings, and polishing light fixtures.
- Rearranging furniture and equipment to facilitate thorough cleaning.
- Removing stains from various surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents.
- Conducting seasonal maintenance tasks such as snow removal and yard work.
- Managing waste disposal and ensuring cleanliness in all areas.
- Carpeted Areas: Empty waste bins, vacuum carpets, and spot clean as necessary.
- Lunchroom/Break Areas: Clean tables, chairs, and appliances, and maintain hygiene in sink areas.
- Restrooms: Sanitize toilets and sinks, mop floors, and restock supplies.
- Non-Carpeted Areas: Sweep and mop floors, and dust surfaces.
- Dusting high surfaces and cleaning interior glass.
- Maintaining the janitor's closet and ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Basic knowledge of janitorial practices is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Must present a professional appearance and adhere to uniform requirements.
- Willingness to participate in training and safety meetings.
- Ability to understand and respond to client needs effectively.
- Punctuality is crucial.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning is desirable.
- Varied office settings with moderate noise levels.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
The role involves physical activities such as standing, walking, lifting, and using cleaning equipment. Employees must be able to lift at least 40 pounds and perform repetitive movements as necessary.
