Position Overview

The role of the Travel Nurse RN is crucial in providing high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings. This position is specifically for a MedSurg unit, requiring a dedicated professional to deliver exceptional nursing services.

Certification Requirements
  • Active Compact License: Must possess an active compact license at the time of submission.
  • BLS Certification: Basic Life Support certification is mandatory.
  • Additional Certifications: ACLS certification is preferred.
Job Details
  • Assignment Duration: 13 weeks.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital environment is required.

Schedule Information

  • Scheduling: Every other weekend and some holidays are expected.

  • Patient Ratios: 5 patients per nurse.
  • Staffing Description: Includes Monitor Techs and other staff who may rotate as needed.
  • Equipment: Utilizes Stryker beds and communication devices for effective patient interaction.
  • Documentation System: Meditech is the primary documentation tool.
  • Floating Policy: Staff may float as necessary based on patient census.
  • Patient Experience: Emphasis on hourly rounding and participation in daily huddles.
  • Procedures: Involves cardiac, medical, and surgical procedures.
  • Dress Code: Navy scrubs are required.
