We are seeking a dedicated and passionate ENL Teacher to join our team at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York. As an ENL Teacher, you will work with students classified as ENL learners, providing direct instruction to support their learning of English and content associated with their IEP goals.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct instruction to ENL learners, consistent with their IEP goals
- Consult with classroom teachers on curriculum/instructional modifications to support ENL learners
- Create curriculum as needed to address assigned students' IEP goals
- Prepare reports and make recommendations for programming
- Attend meetings as directed by the Principal
- Masters Degree in Education with active NYS certification as an ENL instructor
- Experience providing ENL services to students with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
- Greater autonomy and flexibility with teaching plans
- Access to the Savi Student Loan Checkup tool to help navigate the student loan system
- A rewarding experience helping individuals complete daily activities and achieve long-term goals
This is a part-time position (5 hours per week) with a salary range of $36.67 per hour (commensurate with experience). If you are passionate about teaching and supporting ENL learners, we encourage you to apply.
