Connections is looking for a dedicated and empathetic Registered Nurse (RN) to become a vital part of our Behavioral Health Crisis Team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering prompt and effective care to individuals experiencing crises, assisting them in accessing community resources and restoring their stability.
As a member of our team, your responsibilities will include performing comprehensive assessments, educating clients about psychiatric conditions and treatment alternatives, and ensuring the overall health and safety of those in your care. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team to create tailored treatment plans and implement necessary interventions.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough nursing evaluations, including triage, medical and behavioral health assessments, and medication management.
- Work alongside the clinical team to design and execute personalized treatment strategies.
- Provide education to clients and their families regarding psychiatric conditions, treatment options, and health maintenance.
- Utilize effective communication techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
- Maintain precise records of all assessments, interventions, and medication distributions.
- Administer prescribed medications and deliver essential medical care as needed.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program.
- Possession of an active Registered Professional Nurse license.
- Experience in conducting assessments focused on substance use disorders.
- Familiarity with Safe Clinch patient restraint methods.
- Additional certifications or licenses as mandated by state regulations.
