Key Responsibilities:
- Department Oversight: Supervise and monitor all projects in progress in the department to ensure that work is executed on time and in accordance with client requirements and company policies.
- Business Development: Plan for and participate in business development activities to identify, develop, win, and execute project opportunities and build and maintain client relationships.
- Staff Management: Develop and manage employee staffing plans, recruitment, selection, and on-boarding, as well as oversee and manage the success of key department metrics such as revenue growth, staff chargeability, project billing, and collections.
- Quality Assurance: Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects, monitor quality standards and practices, and engage APRs on projects at their onset.
- Safety and Risk Management: Lead safety efforts for the team, ensure team members follow safety rules and guidelines, and be aware of project-related risk and company risk policies.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline practiced by the Firm, including Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology, and 5 years' practice experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 9 years' related experience.
- Certification: Master's degree or PhD preferred. Certification or licensure in the field of expertise is also desirable.
- Other: Valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history.
