About Us: At Fairfield Inn, we strive to provide exceptional service to our guests. As a Guest Service Representative, you will be the face of our hotel, ensuring that every guest has a memorable stay.
Job Description: We are seeking a friendly and personable individual to join our front desk team. The successful candidate will be responsible for check-in, check-out, and front desk operations. You will also assist with market sales, respond to guest inquiries, and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
Responsibilities:
- Guest Interaction: Greet and welcome guests in a unique and personalized way upon arrival. Ensure that every guest feels valued and appreciated throughout their stay.
- Reservation Management: Book guest hotel reservations, verify reservation information, and secure payment details. Register guests accurately and efficiently.
- Phone Handling: Answer and route calls as appropriate, taking guest messages with precision.
- Brand Loyalty Program: Promote our brand loyalty program, recognizing and rewarding members accordingly.
- Anticipating Guest Needs: Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly, efficiently, and in a friendly manner.
- Issue Resolution: Assist in resolving guest complaints regarding service and/or accommodations, escalating issues to managerial levels if necessary.
- Cash Handling: Manage cash drawer contents and transactions during shifts, maintaining accurate records.
- Market Sales: Process all market and retail transactions for guests, restocking inventory as needed.
- Communication: Handle confidential information, including guest records, with high integrity. Provide guests with essential information about hotel facilities and local attractions.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with front desk operations, guest services, and hotel procedures is essential. Proficiency in English is mandatory, with additional languages being an asset.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and proficiency in MS Office products are required. Tact and understanding when dealing with customer service issues are also essential.
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and location. Benefits include PTO, access to 50% of wages prior to payday, discount programs, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, basic life/AD&D and supplemental life insurance, voluntary options, employer-sponsored long-term disability coverage, 401(k) with immediate match, double time for holidays worked, health savings account, employee assistance program (EAP), and dependent care FSA.
