About the Role

Marymount Hospital, a 269-registered bed acute care hospital and a member of the Cleveland Clinic Healthcare System, is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Adult Behavioral Health Center team. As a RN, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care, monitoring patients' health, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, administering medications and treatments, and maintaining up-to-date patient records.

Responsibilities
  • Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
  • Implements and monitors patient care plans, ensuring effective and timely care.
  • Monitors and documents patients' condition, communicating with the healthcare team as necessary.
  • Evaluates and updates patient care plans to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
  • Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocol.
  • Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders, ensuring accurate and timely implementation.
  • Assesses and coordinates patients' discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
  • Assesses educational needs of patients and significant others, considering cultural issues and other special concerns.
  • Provides teaching and educational material as appropriate, validating and documenting patient and family understanding.
  • Maintains professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing, with a BSN preferred.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire.
  • Additional certifications may be required, depending on the specific unit or department.
