Job Title: Construction Document Specialist I

Job Summary:
Engineered Air Balance is seeking a skilled Construction Document Specialist I to join our team in the San Antonio area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing mechanical plans, submittals, and specifications to prepare for project startup. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will be essential in identifying deficiencies and determining relevant design data for field technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain all necessary project documentation, including plans, specs, and submittals, to prepare for project startup.
  • Evaluate plans and submittals to identify deficiencies and determine relevant design data for field technicians.
  • Prepare mechanical drawings for field technician use.
  • Organize and manage project documents.
  • Populate field forms.
  • Assist field project leaders and managers with development of conditions of operation and other technical writing tasks.

Requirements:
  • Up to 2 years of related skill, knowledge, or experience or an Associate's degree or Technical Certification in a related field.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Autodesk, PlanGrid Construction, Procore, and/or Fieldwire.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude required.
  • Construction industry experience highly preferred.

Skills:
  • Strong computer competency with knowledge in Microsoft Office Excel and PDF editing software.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Exhibits strengths in spelling, grammar, document structure, and detail.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of an organization.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work with a high volume of documents in a fast-paced environment.
