Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Security Director, this role is pivotal in supervising personnel tasked with establishing, promoting, and maintaining security and asset protection programs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reporting directly to the Director of Security and assuming operational and administrative duties in their absence.
  • Notifying the Director of Security regarding significant incidents, regulatory violations, and operational issues.
  • Overseeing the protection of company assets and ensuring the effective operation of the Security Department.
  • Conducting and assisting in internal and external investigations as approved by the Director of Security.
  • Ensuring a 24/7 Security Operation to respond promptly to routine and emergency situations.
  • Providing physical security and managing traffic and parking control.
  • Directing subordinate staff and conducting performance reviews.
  • Reviewing incident reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Enforcing policies, procedures, and regulations while initiating disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Patrolling the premises to ensure the safety of guests and employees.
  • Responding to emergencies and internal security alarms effectively.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, and training security personnel as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate departmental records and logs.
  • Ensuring effective communication with team members and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Building strong relationships with regulatory agencies and local law enforcement.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in Security Management within a high-volume casino or hotel environment.
  • The ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring a memorable experience.
  • A commitment to exceeding expectations in all responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.

Work Environment:

The role requires the ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Candidates must be prepared to engage with a diverse range of individuals and manage various situations with professionalism.
