POSITION SUMMARY:

The ICT Systems Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing and supporting the entire lifecycle of various projects, ranging from moderately complex to highly intricate. This role encompasses design, approval, planning, execution, and closure to achieve project objectives efficiently. The engineer will employ Bluebeam/Revit software to execute customer designs and assist in project estimations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and organize detailed scope of work descriptions.
  • Conduct project estimations, including take-offs, pricing, bid summaries, and final bid preparations.
  • Draft plans, drawings, details, and specifications in alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
  • Establish new models and occasional CAD drawings while maintaining an organized file structure for projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to prepare drawing documentation.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD MEP, managing multiple models, creating and maintaining views, and utilizing advanced telecommunications features for precise element placement.
  • Create electronic data files that comply with company and client specifications.
  • Transform redlines into document-ready work.
  • Publish, distribute, and manage drawing sets effectively.
  • Provide assistance to colleagues with Bluebeam/Revit and AutoCAD-related issues and training.
  • Offer insights and recommendations to enhance efficiencies and value in CAD production, implementing best practices.
  • Review project files to ensure compliance with established standards and protocols.
  • Produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D models.
  • Coordinate drawing production according to project requirements and in collaboration with other disciplines.
  • Work efficiently to meet project deadlines, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactively monitor proposal statuses through verbal and written communication.
  • Develop and manage budgets, timelines, job progress, and milestones.
  • Conduct surveys, estimate new projects, attend meetings, and propose solutions to installation challenges.
  • Engage with clients on-site and participate in pre-bid meetings.
  • Negotiate with vendors regarding material costs and subcontractor services.
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Oversee the design, installation, maintenance, and documentation of ICT systems projects, including structured cabling, CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Audio/Visual, Wi-Fi, DAS, and other supporting systems.
  • Collaborate with field teams at client locations to ensure timely project completion.
  • Research and lead the development and design of new projects.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel while maintaining oversight.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to projects, such as creating and submitting bids, communicating project information internally, and managing client relationships.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, partners, and subcontractors.
  • Facilitate regular project team meetings to review action items and project schedules.
  • Coordinate and manage project turnover.
  • Utilize Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.) for internal communication and client interactions, as well as for document management.
  • Take on additional responsibilities and duties as the role evolves.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creation and maintenance of Bluebeam/Revit family.
  • Preferred skills in clash detection using Navisworks.
  • Client-focused, proactive approach to project work and assignments.
  • Familiarity with design methods that support the architectural and engineering sectors.
  • High initiative with the ability to integrate new technologies, industry trends, and client needs to make recommendations that enhance efficiency and value.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and synthesize various data points to produce accurate deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Apply knowledge of Intrusion, Access Control, Video Surveillance, Networking, and IP Networks to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer and smartphone proficiency required.
  • Maintain a valid Driver's license, safe driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.

Work Environment:

  • Regular exposure to non-climate-controlled environments.
  • Potential exposure to airborne particles and dirt in outdoor or construction settings.
  • Noise levels may be elevated depending on the worksite and tools utilized.
  • Handle various items, equipment, control knobs, switches, etc.

Additional Requirements:
