We are seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team at Ascension Living HOPE in Wichita, KS. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting individuals from site while maintaining a safe and efficient schedule.
Responsibilities:
* Operate a vehicle in a safe manner and inform the supervisor of any unusual situations or accidents immediately.
* Assist riders entering and exiting the vehicle and comply with all traffic safety rules and regulations.
* Monitor and maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety, inspecting it daily for any issues and maintaining accurate logs as required.
* Adjust schedules to meet unanticipated changes and determine the safest and most efficient pickup and delivery routes.
* Drive a specially equipped van to deliver physically limited persons to various destinations, ensuring timely arrivals and proper operation of wheelchair lifts and tie-down equipment.
Requirements:
* Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
* Chauffeur preferred.
* BLS Provider preferred, with American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
* Heart Saver AED preferred, with American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
Education:
* High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
* Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
