Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist to join our team at the VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION. As an Industrial Hygienist, you will be responsible for conducting environmental health assessments, developing and implementing industrial hygiene programs, and providing technical guidance to employees on occupational health and safety issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct environmental health assessments to identify potential hazards and develop recommendations for control measures.
  • Develop and implement industrial hygiene programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to employees on occupational health and safety issues, including hazard recognition, risk assessment, and control measures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Develop and maintain records of environmental health assessments, industrial hygiene programs, and employee training.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health sciences, or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in industrial hygiene or a related field.
  • Knowledge of industrial hygiene principles, procedures, and standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in industrial hygiene or a related field.
  • Certification in industrial hygiene or a related field.
  • Experience in developing and implementing industrial hygiene programs.
  • Experience in conducting environmental health assessments.
