Key Responsibilities

  • Performing and documenting comprehensive psychosocial assessments for individuals and families.
  • Maintaining accurate records of evaluations and client progress in their medical files.
  • Facilitating treatment sessions for families and couples, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
  • Coordinating with community resources for aftercare and developing thorough discharge plans.
  • Delivering services in a manner that is respectful and appropriate to the diverse needs of clients and their families.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: A Master's degree in Social Work or Clinical Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid Maine State licensure as an LCSW, LMSW, or LCPC is mandatory. Additional licensure as a LADC and CADC may be required. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are also necessary.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a health or mental health setting is preferred. Experience with clinical methods and techniques for individual, family, and group therapy related to mental health and substance abuse is essential.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of social work and counseling theories, therapies, and techniques, as well as principles of social welfare, is required.
