Job Summary:

As an Occupational Health Nurse Associate at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our associates. This position requires a skilled and compassionate nurse to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for associates during onboarding and throughout their employment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement health and safety programs to promote a safe work environment

Document all employee injuries and illnesses within the workplace

Observe and assess the work environment for potential dangers and hazards

Treat injuries and illnesses for employees, including follow-ups and referrals

Oversee and implement Associate Health emergency and disaster preparedness programs and planning in collaboration with the Incident command team

Counsel employees on physical and mental health issues and guide them toward community resources and/or employee assistance programs

Monitor the health status of employees

Conduct research on the effects of hazardous work conditions or workplace exposures, which may include gathering data and reporting findings to the employer

Perform general administrative and patient care tasks in accordance with the Scope of Practice, and other established policies and procedures

Requirements:

ASN from an accredited program; BSN within 4 years

Current Colorado RN license

Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association

One year of nursing experience in a comparable setting, preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification, Occupational Health

Certification, Certified Case Management

Certification of Occupational Health Nurse (COHN)

Physical Requirements:

Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts is required

Detailed oriented, highly organized, and flexible

Professional and excellent interpersonal and outstanding customer service

Ability to work under minimum supervision

Ability to provide excellent customer service

Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the field
