As a Clinical Pharmacist at Atrium Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications across our healthcare system. Your expertise will be invaluable in collaborating with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Review and monitor physician orders for drug therapy, identifying potential issues with drug choice, dosage, interactions, and adverse reactions.
- Provide accurate and timely responses to drug information requests, utilizing your knowledge of biomedical literature and clinical guidelines.
- Develop and implement patient-specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens, taking into account individual patient needs and medical histories.
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Participate in the management of medical emergencies and provide guidance on medication-related issues.
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Current licensure in the state of Georgia or eligibility for reciprocity.
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish strong working relationships with patients, visitors, and healthcare team members.
