Key Responsibilities
  • Administer oral and external medications to residents under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or a licensed practical/vocational nurse.
  • Follow current standards of hygiene, safety, and infection control when handling, storing, and disposing of medications.
  • Take and record vital signs when required.
  • Recognize the resident's right to refuse medication.
  • Monitor residents who self-administer medications and report deviation from the plan of care.
  • Secure medication cart and ensure proper inventory management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in patient care or medication administration preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
