We are seeking a highly skilled HR Generalist to join our team at Michael Page. This is a 5-day per week onsite role in Floyd, Virginia.
As an HR Generalist, you will play a critical role in supporting the HR function, focusing on employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, training, compliance, and HR administration. Your primary objective will be to foster a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with labor regulations, and driving employee engagement and productivity.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $85,000 per annum, plus great benefits.
About the Role- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Address and resolve employee concerns and complaints, providing guidance on company policies and ensuring fair treatment.
- Conduct investigations into employee relations issues as needed and assist in resolution.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding programs to integrate employees into the company culture.
- Coordinate and deliver employee training sessions, particularly around workplace safety, compliance, and skill development.
- Assist with performance review processes and support managers in identifying development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including maintaining accurate employee records.
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system.
- Manage benefits administration, answer employee questions, and assist with open enrollment.
- Coordinate leave of absence processes, ensuring proper documentation and communication with employees.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment law.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
