About the Role

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our System Flex Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients across various locations within our health system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care services to patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, education, and evaluation.
  • Float to various assigned sites throughout the Bon Secours Mercy Health System to provide patient care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Supervise assigned team members as assigned.
  • Perform a range of respiratory care procedures, including pulmonary function tests, arterial punctures, and EKGs.
  • Maintain all respiratory therapy equipment and supplies.
  • Respond to cardio-pulmonary resuscitations and actively participate as indicated by clinical circumstances.
Requirements
  • Current Respiratory Care License in the state of employment.
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialed.
  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA) certified.
  • ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross certified.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA) certified.
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - AAP/AWHONN certified.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) preferred.
  • Associate Degree from an AMA-approved school for Respiratory Care.
  • 1 year of experience in an acute care setting and demonstrated clinical competency in at least two of the following environments: Nursery/NICU, PICU, ICU/CCU, ED, and general care areas.
