The estimated salary for this role is $63,902 - $96,662 per year.
About the JobThis exciting opportunity involves working as a Registered Nurse to facilitate the recovery of injured workers and their families. As a Medical Case Manager, you will work closely with patients, medical providers, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective care and support.
- Provides Medical Case Management services through in-person and telephonic communications with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Evaluates patient treatment plans for appropriateness, medical necessity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Assesses patient progress and develops effective long-term care strategies.
- Negotiates delivery of durable medical equipment and nursing services.
This role requires regular local travel (up to 60% of the work week/month) and occasional overnight travel. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication, multitasking, and time management skills, with experience in nursing or medical case management preferred.
A comprehensive benefits package is available for full-time regular employees, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401K. In addition, Medical Case Managers are eligible for bonus and will be provided state-of-the-art technological devices to access CorVel's proprietary Case Management application.
