Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at St. Marys Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. As a Clinical Support Partner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with hygiene care, obtain vital signs, and communicate effectively with the care team.
  • Perform 12-lead EKG duties and apply, check, and document restraints as directed.
  • Provide wound care, stoma care, and specimen collection, as well as equipment and tube care/management.
  • Assist with patient transfers, admissions, and discharges, and maintain patient charts and respond to phone calls.
  • Order and maintain office and patient care floor stock/supplies, and perform the duties of a unit secretary.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program.
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of practice.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of previous experience in a healthcare setting.
Physical Requirements

This role requires ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy is also required.

This role involves frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients, and will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment, including pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
