  • Conduct thorough intake and discharge procedures, including paperwork and client belongings management.
  • Complete all necessary documentation, including log entries, incident reports, and clinical reports.
  • Prevent crisis situations from escalating, utilizing Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Skills and physical restraints if necessary.
  • Attend and participate in program meetings and professional trainings.
  • Maintain required certifications, including MAP certification within six months of start date.
  • Accept advocacy responsibilities for assigned residents, providing coaching, mentoring, and support.
  • Report suspected child abuse to the Supervisor or DCF.
  • Assist with meal preparation, laundry chores, and other household duties.
  • Be punctual and adhere to program policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred; High School education or equivalent accepted.
  • One year of related experience working with adolescents preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge required.
  • Valid Driver's license, proof of insurance, and vehicle.
  • Yearly completion of DEEC required and OCY training programs.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to assist with restraining residents up to 200 pounds; capable of working with clients with severe emotional and behavioral problems.
  • Visual and auditory acuity to maintain program security.
