Position Overview

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Biology Instructor to teach introductory biology courses to science, nursing, and allied health majors during the Spring 2025 semester. The successful candidate will be responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom and/or laboratory settings, as well as student evaluation and timely submission of required paperwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach introductory biology courses, including Principles of Biology I (lecture/lab), Microbiology (lab), Cell Biology (lab), and Anatomy (lab).

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments to promote student learning and success.

• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to support student growth and development.

• Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit required paperwork in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Master of Science degree in a related field.

• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.

• Willingness to support the Catholic and Franciscan values of the university.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience teaching biology courses.

• Doctoral degree in a related field.
