Key Responsibilities
- Conducts both invasive and non-invasive cardiopulmonary assessments and interventions.
- Administers, tracks, and documents prescribed medications and therapies, including the setup and management of patient ventilation systems and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Ensures the proper setup, maintenance, and monitoring of respiratory equipment, promptly reporting any issues to management.
- Engages in professional development activities to maintain licensure and credentials.
- Contributes to the formulation and evaluation of operational policies and procedures.
- Takes initiative in assigned tasks; performs additional duties as required.
- Effectively communicates with both internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating active listening and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborates with colleagues across various departments, exemplifying our commitment to exceptional service.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent experience.
- Valid Respiratory Care License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Membership in a professional respiratory care organization.
- National Specialty Certification.
- Certifications such as PALS, NRP, or ACLS may be required based on departmental needs.
