JOB OVERVIEW

Wood PLC is actively seeking experienced Lease Technicians to enhance our workforce. In the role of a Production Lease Technician, you will oversee the daily operations and upkeep of oil and gas wells, along with the related machinery and facilities within a designated production area. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring the secure and effective functioning of all machinery and facilities, tracking production metrics, and performing regular maintenance and repairs as needed.

This position is full-time and may require work during weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary. You will report directly to the Production Manager and operate from an oil and gas production site.

Location: Godley, TX

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday. This schedule is locally based. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius or within a one-hour commute of the site. This arrangement allows for nightly returns home, and therefore, no accommodations for man-camps or housing per diem are provided. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee and manage oil and gas production from assigned leases to ensure optimal efficiency and profitability.
  • Conduct regular inspections of well sites, facilities, and equipment to guarantee proper operation and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of production, injection, and operational data for all wells.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on production machinery, including pumps, separators, and pipelines.
  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines related to oil and gas production.
  • Coordinate with third-party service providers to ensure the safe and efficient execution of well maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as spills or equipment failures.
  • Maintain effective communication with supervisors, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Experience with oilfield software (e.g., SCADA, CYGNET, eVin) is preferred.
  • SAP Experience
  • PSM certification is a plus.
    • PSM certification indicates that an individual has successfully completed training and demonstrated knowledge in the principles and practices of process safety management, aimed at preventing or minimizing catastrophic incidents in facilities handling hazardous materials.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
  • 2-5 years of lease operating/pumping experience in oilfield operations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas production equipment and processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with other operators, supervisors, and management.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call as required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check and drug test.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs and work at heights.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and wear personal protective equipment as required.
