Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Signature Healthcare in Brockton, MA. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain patient flow by escorting patients to examination rooms and prioritizing based on patient needs.
  • Prepare patients for visits, examinations, and procedures, and document vital signs and patient information.
  • Assess patient acuity and inform physicians of urgent or emergent needs.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on care and prevention of illness and injury.
  • Document patient information in the electronic medical record and assist with medical and surgical procedures.
  • Assist with urgent and emergent medical situations, including obtaining and operating medical equipment.
  • Collect, label, and process specimens, and perform point-of-care testing as indicated.
  • Assist with patient care support activities, including referrals, laboratory work, and patient education.
  • Under the direction of a physician, provide assistance with patient care, including triaging calls and returning patient telephone calls.
  • Maintain a high-quality patient care environment by cleaning, preparing, and stocking examination rooms and treatment areas.
  • Assist with the care, cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of medical equipment and instruments.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved practical nursing program.
  • Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers completion.
  • One to two years of successful working experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse preferred.
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred, but willing to train.
  • Meditech experience preferred.
