Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Music Recording Technology courses at Northern VA Community College.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach specific classes in Music Recording Technology.
  • Develop course syllabi and instructional materials.
  • Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student progress.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations of NOVA and the VCCS.
  • Maintain current competence in Music Recording Technology.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Recording Technology or related field.
  • Two years of related full-time experience or equivalent part-time experience.
  • Ability to develop and adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse students.
  • Experience with emerging technologies and alternative delivery methods.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional experience in large console format recording studios.
  • Fluency in industry-standard music software.
  • Ability to teach both lower- and upper-level recording classes.
