Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist with housekeeping and laundry duties in our long-term care facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure cleaning schedules are followed and coordinate daily housekeeping services with other departments.
  • Clean and maintain rooms, offices, and common areas, including polishing and straightening items.
  • Ensure residents' rooms are safe, comfortable, and maintained in an attractive manner, and residents' personal items are safeguarded.
  • Sort, clean, wash, dry, and fold linen according to proper facility procedures.
  • Prepare linen carts with appropriate amounts of linen for nursing personnel.
  • Follow all sanitation and infection control procedures.
Requirements:
  • Related experience at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
  • Previous housekeeping/laundry experience in a long-term care facility is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
  • Ability to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with other employees.
  • Must maintain regular attendance.
