Manufacturing Instructor

St. Charles Community College is seeking a qualified candidate to teach courses in Manufacturing, certificate, and degree programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for student success and a commitment to increasing diversity in the faculty and staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching manufacturing principles, safety, and overview of specializations, including quality, processes, maintenance, and lean manufacturing approaches.

• Associates degree with at least five years of experience in the field of Manufacturing machining/fabrication/welding or closely related field.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and manufacturing equipment required.
• One year instructor/training experience within the last ten years in Manufacturing or industry.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft office products.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work flexible hours when necessary.

• Bachelors degree and at least three years of experience in Manufacturing/machining/fabrication/welding or closely related field.
• Three years instructor/training experience AND Three years of industry experience within the last ten years in Manufacturing or closely related industry.
• Experience in an academic setting.
