Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership to the clinical laboratory team
  • Ensure the efficient and accurate completion of testing and quality control procedures
  • Supervise and train laboratory staff, including Medical Technologists and Laboratory Assistants
  • Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance procedures
  • Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
  • Participate in the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field
  • Three or more years of experience in a clinical laboratory, preferably in a supervisory or management role
  • Valid and current Florida Technologist license in Immunohematology or Blood Banking
  • Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
