Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Completion of a two-year accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Valid state radiology registration as mandated by state regulations.
  • A minimum of eighteen months of experience as an MRI Technologist, preferably in a critical care environment.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.

Key Responsibilities

The MRI Technologist will be responsible for:

  • Utilizing expertise in anatomy and MRI principles to operate MRI machines safely and effectively.
  • Ensuring the safety of patients and staff in proximity to MRI equipment.
  • Positioning patients correctly for imaging procedures.
  • Administering contrast media as necessary.
  • Setting technical parameters and monitoring image data during scans.
  • Identifying normal versus abnormal imaging results.
  • Responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Delivering high-quality patient care in a professional manner.
  • Fostering a safe and supportive work environment.
