Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the Assembly Supervisor, this role presents a significant opportunity to assist in production management while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. This position is designed for individuals seeking to grow within a dynamic, global company that values job diversity and career advancement.
Shift Details:
First Shift (6:30 am to 5 pm - Monday through Thursday - most Fridays off)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily operations to achieve production targets.
2. Ensure adequate staffing levels to support assembly lines.
3. Facilitate comprehensive training for new hires.
4. Meet safety, quality, productivity, and maintenance goals.
5. Accurately complete daily reports, repair logs, and checklists.
6. Maintain clear communication with supervisors and team members across all levels.
7. Monitor repairs and scrap, providing corrective feedback to the supervisor.
8. Perform basic mathematical calculations as needed.
9. Stand and walk for extended periods and lift items up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with assembly experience required.
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
3. Excellent attendance record and a history of safe work practices.
4. Self-motivated and able to thrive under pressure.
5. Demonstrated leadership capabilities in a work setting.
6. Ability to provide and accept constructive feedback.
7. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
8. Understanding of ergonomics as it pertains to the workplace.
9. Flexibility to assist on different assembly lines as needed.
10. Preferred knowledge of compressor assembly and electric motors.
11. Experience in managing or supervising production teams.
