Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Ingles Markets. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger
- Process transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting, analyzing financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and achieve business objectives
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a retail or food service environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
