Medical Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Methodist Hospitals. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for performing laboratory testing, including moderate and highly complex procedures, and assisting in the management of the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory testing, including moderate and highly complex procedures, and maintain competency to perform these tasks accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Assist in the management of the laboratory, including performing routine and preventive maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, and participating in quality control and quality assurance activities.
- Participate in proficiency testing and educational requirements, and follow laboratory and hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Oversee MLT students' clinical rotations, assist in inventory management, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
- Prepare department schedules and work assignments, and assist in competency assessment programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related science from an accredited institution.
- Two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Professional certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Specialist (CLS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
