Manufacturing Assembly Technician

As a vital member of the Manufacturing Team, the Manufacturing Assembly Technician will undertake all necessary assembly and installation tasks on heavy-duty transit buses within the designated production area, while ensuring a tidy and secure work environment.
Work Schedule
We are looking for Manufacturing Assembly Technicians to join our team on the first shift, operating from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Opportunities for overtime may be available after regular hours and on weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute all assembly and installation tasks within a designated section of the production line.
- Prepare for work by reviewing assembly guidelines, blueprint specifications, parts lists, and gathering necessary components, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Maintain quality and uniformity in all assembly and installation tasks within the assigned work area.
- Interpret blueprints, process sheets, and written instructions to build according to specifications, utilizing measurement tools and basic mathematical skills.
- Possess a working knowledge of hand and pneumatic tools. The role involves regular exposure to vibrations and occasional work near moving mechanical components.
- Regularly lift and transport items weighing up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move items up to 25 pounds, and occasionally handle items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Be capable of bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing, as well as working on ladders. The position requires extended periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.
- Ensure that the workstation is kept clean and in a safe condition.
- Be present and engaged in performing assigned duties, with the ability to work overtime as needed to meet production goals.

Qualifications
- Proficient in using small hand and power tools repetitively, along with measuring equipment.
- Ability to read and follow intermediate measurements and instructions, demonstrating a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Exhibit teamwork, self-motivation, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Possess good communication skills, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and excellent time management capabilities.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive wages starting at $23.49 for the first shift, with the first pay increase at five months.
