Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Aerotek. As a Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for performing complex welding assignments independently, setting up and operating oxyacetylene torch and plasma cutter, and performing quality checks during fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex welding assignments independently, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Set up and operate oxyacetylene torch and plasma cutter for various tasks, following safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Conduct quality checks during fabrication, using visual inspections, measuring, and comparing print specifications and documented tolerances.
  • Operate trucks, forklifts, and boom lifts after receiving training and when authorized.
  • Run multi-conductor wire and bend and fit conduit and encoders.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in fabrication and welding.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding, fabrication, and operating welding equipment.
  • Strong understanding of shop mathematics and oxyacetylene torch operation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
