Gentiva Hospice is seeking a compassionate and skilled Spiritual Care Coordinator - Bereavement Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our hospice care team, you will provide spiritual support and bereavement services to patients and their families, ensuring their emotional and spiritual needs are met during a difficult time.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement spiritual care plans for patients and families, taking into account their unique needs and preferences.
- Provide direct spiritual counseling, prayer, and ministry to patients and families as needed.
- Collaborate with community clergy and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Offer bereavement support to staff, including volunteers, to promote a supportive work environment.
- Design and deliver educational programs and training sessions to staff, community, and contract agencies on topics related to end-of-life care, loss, and grief.
- Bachelor's degree in theology, religion, human services, sociology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Master's degree in counseling, psychology, theology, or divinity from an accredited college or university (preferred).
- Minimum of one unit of Association of Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc. (ACPE)-accredited CPE.
