Job Summary

As a Correctional Dentist Specialist, you will provide general direct dental care services to offenders in correctional facilities, adhering to University procedures and Health Services policies. You will work under the supervision of the Cluster Dental Director with latitude for independent judgement, potentially providing services across multiple facilities.

  • You will contribute significantly to the success of the UTMB Correctional Managed Care operation by delivering high-quality dental services.
  • Adhering to internal controls and reporting structures will be essential in maintaining department standards.
  • Additional duties as required will also be assigned to support the team's objectives.

Work Environment

This role is located within a secure environment of a prison or juvenile detention center, requiring a security clearance and pre-employment drug testing. A strong sense of professionalism and adaptability will be crucial for success in this position.
