Responsibilities:

• ">
• Maintain journals, general ledgers, and subsidiary ledgers">
• Maintain and update accounts receivable controls and accounts">
• Classify and post expenditures to budgetary accounts">
• Maintain detailed job process and administrative overhead records">
• Analyze revenue and expenditures, preparing periodic statements">
• Assist with preparation of budget estimates and projections">
• Prepare and maintain trial balances, recapitulations, and balance sheets">
• Maintain and update complex financial and statistical reports">
• Receive and classify accounting data">
• Identify and resolve a variety of complex account and statistical record-keeping problems">
• Prepare periodic billings for special contracts">
• Maintain records for revolving and trust accounts">
• Prepare claims for other government agencies">
• Initiate budget transfers to cover account shortages">
• Operate computers, using County financial software, special on-line software used in an assigned County department, and spreadsheets">
• Explain financial procedures and assigned area technical account record-keeping requirements to other staff, representatives of other government agencies, and the public">
• Provide lead direction, work coordination, and training for other staff">

Requirements:

• ">
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and two years of experience in financial and statistical record keeping work comparable to that of a Fiscal Technician II with Siskiyou County">
• Demonstrated knowledge of government accounting, budget management, and financial analysis principles and practices">
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and resolve complex issues">
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with staff, government agencies, and the public">
• Ability to operate computerized financial information systems, including spreadsheets and databases">
