Histology Technician

Gastro Health is a leading gastroenterology multi-specialty group with over 130 locations throughout the United States. We are seeking a part-time Histology Technician to join our team.

This is a part-time (PRN/Per-Diem) position that offers a great work-life balance, with no weekends or evenings. You will be responsible for preparing reagents in the laboratory, complying with all safety regulations, and performing routine histology from accessioning to cover slipping.

• Prepare reagents and materials for staining and embedding
• Perform routine histology procedures, including cutting paraffin sections and staining slides
• Embed and cut tissue samples for microscopic analysis
• Operate complex automated equipment and maintain laboratory reagents and supply inventory
• Perform quality control and quality assurance of laboratory tests and procedures
• Work under the direction of the laboratory manager to perform repetitive or routine duties

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field
• HT or HTL certification by ASCP
• Previous experience as a histotech preferred
• Ability to establish work priorities and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
