Job Title: Project Geologist

Millrock Resources is seeking a highly skilled Project Geologist to join our team. As a key member of our exploration team, you will be responsible for managing and executing mineral exploration projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and execute exploration projects to advance the company's mineral exploration goals.
  • Build, lead, and motivate exploration teams to develop exploration plans and execute approved project plans.
  • Ensure all operations are conducted to the highest level of safety standards, environmental, and operational best practices.
  • Prepare project budgets and ensure timely delivery of exploration projects.
  • Coordinate with support staff to maintain land tenure, assessment reporting requirements, and necessary permits.
  • Report project results to management, business partners, and regulators.
  • Ensure the capture, safety, and integrity of all project data.
  • Build relationships with business partners, service suppliers, and local project stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or a related field.
  • Three years of experience, with one year of experience on drill projects.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Previous experience working in Alaska and/or Arizona terrains as applicable.
  • Previous experience managing projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute field programs with minimal direction.
  • Dynamic, high energy, self-motivated, and ability to make independent decisions.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with Cordilleran Intrusion-Related Gold deposits and Porphyry Copper-Gold deposits.
  • Advanced computer skills, 3-D modeling.
Working Conditions and Physical Work Demands:
  • Comfortable working in rugged terrain.
  • Remote locations often in exploration camp style work environment.
  • Extended periods away from home base.
  • Physical ability to work in remote areas where operating equipment, climbing, walking long distances, working in steep terrain may be required.
