Our hospital is equipped with an in-house laboratory, pharmacy, operating room, ultrasound room, thermal imaging, digital x-ray room, and a dental suite with digital dental x-ray capabilities. We utilize cutting-edge technology to ensure thorough monitoring of vital signs during anesthetic procedures.
For specialized surgical needs, we collaborate with board-certified surgeons who can perform procedures in our state-of-the-art operating room, supported by our skilled veterinarians. We also provide post-operative care for surgical patients, regardless of where the surgery was conducted.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in professional client communication and education, gathering medical histories and symptoms.
- Conduct laboratory procedures, including hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecal examinations.
- Perform diagnostic imaging while adhering to safety protocols for staff and patients.
Nursing Skills Required:
- Patient restraint and administration of medications via various routes (PO/IV/SUBQ/IM).
- Application and maintenance of bandages, proficient IV catheter placement, and venipuncture.
- Preparation for surgery and monitoring during anesthesia.
- Proficiency in dental prophylaxis.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials across states. An Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology is also required.
