About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team at Actalent. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing CNC lathe programs using MasterCam for new parts on three, four, and five-axis machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data to calculate dimensions, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates.
  • Lead other operators within the area and ensure efficient setup and production run on several CNC lathes.
  • Determine the sequence of machine operations and select the proper cutting tools needed to machine workpieces into the desired shapes.
  • Observe machines on trial runs and/or conduct computer simulations to ensure that programs and machinery will function properly.
  • Perform preventative maintenance or minor repairs on machines.
Requirements
  • Experience programming Miyano and Fanuc Control.
  • Mastercam programming skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Program from scratch and revise existing programs.
