Job Summary

This is a part-time position in the Labor & Delivery Department, requiring a Certified Surgical Technologist to work on a night shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the sterile field and instrumentation, as well as providing non-clinical support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the sterile field and instrumentation for surgical procedures.
  • Provide non-clinical support, including cleaning and sterilization of instruments, and provision of a safe and clean surgical environment.
  • May be required to work as a Health Unit Coordinator during low census times.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year or more of Surgical Technologist experience.
  • Ability to deal with multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Must obtain BLS Healthcare Provider within three (3) months of hire.
  • Prefer two (2) to five (5) years recent hospital experience.
  • Must be proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred one (1) year surgical technologist acute care experience.
Work Schedule

Every third weekend.
