Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Receiving and Inventory Team Lead to oversee the management of goods and materials within our warehouse environment.

Main Responsibilities

Receiving Duties:

  • Shipment Acceptance: Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and defects while verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
  • Documentation Management: Ensure all shipments include necessary documentation and maintain records for future reference.
  • Unloading Operations: Safely unload goods from delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment.
  • Sorting and Organizing: Classify and arrange received items based on type, destination, and urgency.
  • System Updates: Input details of received items into the inventory management system, adjusting stock levels and noting any discrepancies.

Inventory Management Duties:

  • Accuracy Maintenance: Keep precise records of inventory levels, locations, and movements.
  • Audits and Counts: Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies.
  • Reconciliation: Align physical inventory with system records, investigate discrepancies, and report findings.
  • Supply Monitoring: Oversee inventory levels to maintain adequate supply without overstocking and assist in reordering as necessary.
  • Inventory Optimization: Identify slow-moving or obsolete items and collaborate with management on disposal strategies.
  • Supplier Communication: Maintain effective communication with suppliers regarding delivery schedules and discrepancies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production, sales, and customer service teams to ensure inventory meets operational needs.
  • Returns Management: Oversee the process of returning defective or incorrect items to suppliers.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on inventory status, shortages, and surpluses to relevant departments.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all received goods meet company quality standards and report any issues.
  • Compliance: Ensure all receiving and inventory processes adhere to company policies and regulations.
