Position Summary:
We are pleased to announce an opportunity to join Sutter Health as a Registered Nurse II in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This role is essential in delivering high-quality nursing care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional nursing care for patients, utilizing the nursing process to ensure safe and compassionate treatment.
- Independently assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, demonstrating age-specific competencies.
- Supervise and support the activities of other nursing staff, including licensed vocational nurses and nursing assistants.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing required.

Licensure:
- RN-Registered Nurse in California.
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
- PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification.
- NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification.

Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
- Preferred experience in NICU and delivery settings.
- Charge nurse experience is a plus.

Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of nursing theories, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Familiarity with healthcare industry standards and patient care best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey sensitive information effectively.
- Time management and organizational skills to prioritize patient care and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.

Work Schedule:
- Night shifts with a full-time schedule.
- Rotating weekends required.
