Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Deli Sales Associate to join our team at WEIS LLC. As a Deli Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that our deli products are always fresh and appealing.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving concerns in a polite and professional manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the deli area, by following cleaning schedules and department guidelines.
• Ensure that deli products are always fresh and appealing by rotating stock, handling spoiled or damaged products, and following company procedures and standards.
• Operate slicing equipment to provide meats and cheeses based on customer preferences and package items with correct prices and dates.
• Prepare ready-to-eat foods to individual customer orders and prepare platters of sliced meats, cheeses, and vegetable trays.
• Adhere to company recipes and safety policies when preparing food, including chicken, pizza, sandwiches, salads, and other hot or cold food items.
• May operate cash register and follow policies and procedures to ensure proper money handling and avoid cash overages or shortages.
• Assist in inventory control by minimizing losses, returning products to refrigeration, and following company recipes.
• May assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries through operation of a power jack or hand jack.

• Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• No prior experience required.
