Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our Physician Blood Draw Department at Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for obtaining blood specimens, processing laboratory specimens, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Properly identify patients and perform venipuncture using standard methods
  • Label all specimens accurately and process laboratory/microbiology specimens
  • Ensure accurate and complete patient registration
  • Flexibility to cover other sites as needed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of phlebotomy program
  • Nat'l Phlebotomy Certification preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a blood draw station, ambulatory care, or acute care setting
